Recent attacks in Riyom and Pushit highlight high level of insecurity in the state. Months ago about 64 communities were reportedly sacked by bandits in Plateau State, with over people said to have been killed in various attacks. In a related event, the State Secretary General, Mr. Samuel Jatau and his convoy, reportedly escaped ambush near Hurti community in the Monguna district.
