Bandits have attacked and killed six persons in Amadu community in the Takum local government area of Taraba State. There is likelihood of counter-terrorism effort in the area which may pose serious risks to travelers and visitors to the area. Besides, the Takum-Ussa axis is riddled by long-running violent communal conflicts, often between different ethnic groups like the Tiv and Jukun, and historical tensions between the Kuteb and Jukun/Chamba groups, largely driven by competition over land and power struggles
