Peaceful but With Volatile security situation
While the surrounding North-Western and North-Eastern states face high levels of banditry, kidnapping, and farmer-herder violence, recent reports indicate that Jigawa State is working for its internal security and safety. There is reportedly deployment of over 9,900 security guards recruited from the youth to protect critical infrastructure, including schools, hospitals, courts, and public utilities with the state carrying out construction of perimeter wall fencing for schools, with over ₦1.1 billion said to be approved for this purpose in October 2025.
