On State is beginning to experience growing security concerns as Suspected bandits in the evening of Wednesday 30th December, 2025 attacked a police station in the Ipele-Owo community in Owo Local Government Area at a time when Christians were preparing to go to church for crossover services. This made policemen at the station as well as the residents to flee the area. If this could happen to a security outfit, then it may portend larger scale of insecurity in near future.  However, there is a security operation by Amotekun locally known as “Le Won Jade” (Operation Flush Them Out), which is an intensified patrol effort to strengthen security across border corridors.
