The Calabar-Itu-Uyo is one of most deplorable routes in the country and was declared a “national emergency” by National Assembly lawmakers. The Ikom-Obudu and Bekwarra-Vandekya axis of Ogoja are repeatedly found to be in a terrible condition, negatively impacting the movement of goods and services in the northern part of the state.
